Online ESL Teacher - English as a foreign language

Preference given to candidates who:

Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in pedagogy

Hold a bachelor's degree or higher in the humanities

Responsibilities:

- Conduct lessons of English as a foreign language to students aged 7-Adult.
- Conduct lessons as individual lessons and/or group lessons (4 students max.)
- Write short feedback reports after each lesson.
- Perform general admin (attendance, labeling, file organization).
- Administer assessment of students.
- Assign homework via electronic platform.
- Administer placement tests (level tests) with potential students.
- Provide specific feedback upon request.
- Plan lesson structure using materials provided (All materials, tools, audio, video provided)

General requirements:

- 2 years minimum experience teaching English as a foreign language
- Certification from accredited TEFL/TESOL training course (CELTA preferred)
- Fundamental understanding of communicative teaching approach and English grammar
- General availability 15:00-21:00 UTC+3
- Commitment to 6 month minimum contract
- Laptop or computer / Reliable high-speed internet connection / Headphones
- External hard drive
- Ability to communicate via Whatsapp
- Knowledge of Zoom

Native Speakers:

- Must have had English as home language.
- Must demonstrate ability to speak and write on a professional level.

Non-native Speakers:

- Must demonstrate excellent command of the English language in written spoken form (C2)
